- Win rate above 60% — consistently profitable, not a lucky streak
- More than 50 trades — enough sample size to trust the numbers
- Positive ROI over 30+ days — not a one-week flash performance
- Diverse markets — traders who bet on many different events are harder to read but more stable
- Reasonable bet sizes — copying a whale who bets $50,000 per trade when you have $500 leads to poor proportional fills
Red flags to avoid
